Gallock Wedge Lock Washers are engineered to ensure the integrity and security of fastener thread systems by utilizing tension instead of friction, unlike traditional fastening methods. This advanced wedge locking technology provides exceptional security and reliability for threaded connections, making it ideal for applications subject to vibrations and dynamic loads
As shown in the diagram, the angle of the cam α of the washer is larger than the angle of the thread ß. When the fastener is tightened, the knurled surfaces grip both the bearing surface of the fastener and the material into which the bolt is being fastened. The larger angle of the cam α, compared to the smaller angle of the screw thread ß, will not allow the bolt to loosen because of the tension caused by the cam lifting
